SOCIAL STUDIES!!!
Well what in the world is social studies? How am I going to teach this to my students? WHY am I going to teach this to my students? Well the explaination is simple, social studies is truely about our social world and teaching it enables students to understand, participate, and make informed decisions about their world. This is the study of:
People
How they interact with each other
How they interact with the world.
How can I be the best teacher I can be?
Pedagogical Content Knowledge
This is simply the knowledge of how we teach social studies, it is the art and science behind teaching and it takes a lot of time and practice. This is what I am looking foward to learning this semester. Considering that social studies was always one of my weakest areas of study I need to learn how to make social studies fun and interactive for my students so they wont face the same struggles that I did as a student. I also want to become confident within this content and teaching it so that I do not show my anxiety when teaching this subject.

Social Studies is a huge umbrella term for many content areas. These content areas include anthropology... archeology... economics... geography... history... law... philosophy... religion... sociology
